LET THERE BE LIGHT

In addition to the cold and snow, the winter months are also marked with short days and less daylight. Some of our neighbors are requesting that we keep our garage/porch lights on once it gets dark outside to avoid extreme darkness in the subdivision. This will also help your neighbors be on the look out for any odd activity around your home.

CURB TREE REPLACEMENT

We have been advised that the Troy Parks and Recreation Department is no longer replacing trees at the curb as a service to homeowners because of tightened city budget and they do not believe there will be funds available to do so for several years.  City landscapers presently plan to remove any dead trees in the area between the sidewalk and the street in our neighborhood.  They will then level the area and seed for grass.  As a result, any homeowner that wants to replace a tree at the curb of their property may do so at their own cost

ADDRESSES ON GARBAGE CANS AND RECYCLE BINS

Do you ever see garbage cans and recycle bins (and their covers) blowing around the neighborhood on a windy day and don’t know which house they belong to?   It may be helpful to paint your address on the cans, bins and covers to assist in getting them all back to the right homes.
