LET THERE BE LIGHT

In addition to the cold and snow, the winter months are also marked with short days and less daylight. Some of our neighbors are requesting that we keep our garage/porch lights on once it gets dark outside to avoid extreme darkness in the subdivision. This will also help your neighbors be on the look out for any odd activity around your home.

CURB TREE REPLACEMENT

The Troy Parks and Recreation Department is presently compiling a list of residents that would like to replace a dead/missing tree at their curb area.  For a while, a tightened city budget prohibited the city from performing this service.  Once again, the city will remove a dead trees in the area between the sidewalk and the street in our neighborhood and then workers will return in the fall to plant.

As a result, any homeowner that wants to replace a tree at the curb of their property must call themselves and ask the city to be placed on the list for fall replacement (Troy Parks and Recreation Department, 248-524-3484).

ADDRESSES ON GARBAGE CANS AND RECYCLE BINS

Do you ever see garbage cans and recycle bins (and their covers) blowing around the neighborhood on a windy day and don’t know which house they belong to?   It may be helpful to paint your address on the cans, bins and covers to assist in getting them all back to the right homes.
